The waterside at Ely was one of the places lead candidate and sitting MEP Stuart Agnew found himself while on the campaign trail.

They combined the gazebo stall with door-to-door leafleting.  People responded positively to the idea of meeting a sitting MEP.

In Cambridge he attended a hustings event at Great St Mary’s church, opposite King’s College, dominated by Remain supporters.

Stuart was alone among the candidates in airing his ‘climate scepticism’ in answering one of the unscripted questions from the floor.

The audience eventually started to thin out with boredom and the UKIP team retired to The Eagle.
