Fresh from producing the UKIP 2019 manifesto David Kurten is taking on a Remain-supporting Conservative
David Kurten, UKIP Education spokesman and manifesto editor, has been out and about in Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
He’s throwing the book at former Schools’ Minister and arch-Remainer Nick Gibb of the Conservatives. With the Brexit party standing down, even in places where there was a Tory Remainer like Mr Gibb, David is offering Leave voters a real alternative.
David said: “This is a prime example of where there is an incumbent Tory Remainer, so it’s really important for us to be standing here.
“UKIP is the only party here which is committed to a full clean-break Brexit where we leave the EU and all of its institutions with no more delays.”
UKIP stands for stopping payments to the EU, no more EU laws, no more European Court having power over us and no more open-border immigration.
“I’ve been out and about in Bognor Regis and Littlehampton this week and speaking to the people there. Voters are delighted that there is a real Brexiteer candidate standing in their constituency,” he said.
Bognor Regis and Littlehampton have been severely affected by the EU Common Fisheries Policy over the last five decades, which has decimated the fishing industry. The message is clear – we want our territorial waters back, and we want our country back!
