UKIP candidate Roy Freshwater has been out delivering leaflets and sharing the message with voters in Rochester and Strood that there is a 'better Brexit'
The voters of Rochester and Strood have a real Brexit candidate to vote for and a way of making it clear - what so many realise - that the Boris Johnson deal is a Bogus Brexit!
Roy Freshwater, a long-time UKIP councillor, has been pounding the pavements and delivering leaflets in Rochester, Strood, Gillingham and Rainham and getting a fantastic response from electors.
“I have been welcomed by practically everyone,” he said. “Yes, there have been many comments like 'I will be voting but not for you' but many more heartwarming comments like ‘Thank you for standing for UKIP and allowing us to have a Brexit vote'.
“Voters are far wiser than we give them credit for - many are aware of the smoke screen discussions on the economy and NHS intended to take away discussion from Brexit.”
Roy also appeared on BBC Radio Kent for a live interview and managed to mention the Bogus Boris Brexit deal, the new UKIP manifesto and the need for a ‘no deal’ Brexit more than three times despite the presenter’s attempts to direct the interview.
“UKIP is very much on people's lips during this Election campaign and is supported by many leaflets delivered by a committed team and street stalls,” he said.
Roy has been keen to raise local issues too, particularly about pollution and housing issues which have great support from residents.
