The National Executive Committee
UK Independence Party
Following the shock resignation of our Party Leader Lois Perry who has been forced to step down due to health reasons, the National Executive Committee has installed its Deputy Leader, Nick Tenconi as the party’s "Interim Leader" in accordance with its constitution.
UKIP thanks Lois for her brief time as leader and will continue the work she began, carving out a political path and direction which simply isn’t on offer from any other party. We also wish her a speedy recovery.
For UKIP it is very much business as usual. We have parliamentary candidates to support, messaging to deliver and everyday people to stand-up for, giving them a voice.
Given the state of UK politics right now, the plan to deliver a “New UKIP” most definitely continues as the party and its leadership sets out to show you the definitive differences between us and REFORM UK.
As ever, we would like to thank our loyal members, activists, and supporters. The last week has been an extremely surprising and difficult period for us, but because we are not a one-man-band we continue to drive forward.
To the external imposters and shoddy sites who sling-mud in desperate attempts to derail us from our objectives and gain twisted validation for themselves, good luck! UKIP has always been and continues to be the toughest political nut to crack!
Consider yourselves on notice.
