My UKIP History
I joined UKIP back in 2011 because like most of us in UKIP we found they covered a gap in the market. I personally think we add a bit of everything to the political world, some socialist ideals (dare I say) and some conservative ideals we also have good views on green issues. Sometimes you just find something that ticks all the political boxes and know you have found a party that suits your own agenda.
In 2015/2016 I was on the Rochford and Southend East UKIP Branch Committee as one of a team of 6 and headed up our local campaigns.
I stood for UKIP in Rochford and Southend East local council elections 3 times.
We moved up to Lincolnshire in 2017 where I joined the South Holland and the Deepings Branch and became the Branch Chairman in the same year and was asked to take over as the County Chair of Lincolnshire. I have stood for Council South Holland and the Deepings in 2019 and despite this being a strong Tory area I achieved a good showing.
In 2019 I was elected unopposed to the Chairman of EMCC (East Midlands County Committee).
I have been a member of UKIP now since 2014 to present, in all of the time that I have been a member I’ve been very proud to represent the party, firstly in local elections in approximately 2014/15. Then I decided to stand for Surrey in the Police & Crime Commissioner elections in May 2016, followed by campaigning for the Brexit Referendum June’16. Latterly, 2018, I was the Campaign Manager for Helena Windsor in 2019 Leadership elections 2018 and lastly standing for Parliament as the Candidate for Reigate in 2019.
