2024 NEC Elections

Thank you to those who applied for the 2024 NEC elections!

The RO has now confirmed the results. By close of applications for the election cycle, there were 11 vacancies and 11 candidates.

The number of valid candidates matches the number of vacancies, so ALL candidates are elected to the NEC. As there was a desire to not need a ranking election (expenses etc.), and since some new NEC members were also new party members, i.e. inexperienced in NEC/directorship matters, it was decided at the last NEC meeting that:

•  4 candidates who have been involved with the NEC before will receive 3 year terms of office:
• Donald MacKay
• Ian Garbutt
• John Poynton
• Stan Robinson

• The other 7 candidates will receive a probationary period of one year, and be up for re-election next year:
• Richard Inman
• Timothy Jenkins
• Joseph Smith
• Roger Quillam
• Paul Grindley
• Fraser O'Shaughnessy
• Fr. Calvin Robinson
